We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Hydrogeology Team Lead to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our hydrogeology group and contributing to the success of our company.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Progressively assume increasing leadership and management of daily operations for the hydrogeology group in collaboration with existing leadership.
- Hydrogeological Assessments: Conduct hydrogeological assessments, dewatering assessments, surface water assessments, water supply studies, and water taking permits.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Perform data analysis, interpretation, and reporting (i.e. hydrogeological investigations and groundwater monitoring reports).
- Field Activities: Supervise and coordinate field activities associated with hydrogeological assessments, surface water assessments, water supply studies, and permits to take water.
- Market Strategies: Develop and implement market strategies to drive growth in the hydrogeology group, in collaboration with existing leadership and management.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements (Ontario Water Resources Act, Environmental Protection Act, and other applicable federal and provincial acts, regulations, and guidelines) and general engineering/hydrogeological practices and processes.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of construction dewatering, groundwater and surface water interactions, and soil and bedrock classification.
- Software Skills: Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, and Aquifer Test (an asset).
- Travel Requirements: Regular travel to project sites is required. Mileage for work-related travel will be reimbursed.
- Experience and Education: Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role. Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Geology/Hydrogeology, Earth Sciences, or Water Resources Engineering (or equivalent).
- Professional Designations: Member in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario, with P. Eng. designation, or the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario, with P. Geo. designation.
