The Opportunity:
Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. presents an exciting opportunity for skilled underground miners to become part of our Paste Crew at the Hemlo Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance within the crew.
- Execute the installation of paste, water, air, and pump piping systems.
- Set up paste bulkheads, pumps, and reticulation systems.
- Conduct inspections of dump valves and the pipe network for any leaks or damage.
- Collaborate with the Service crew to facilitate ventilation duct installations.
- Operate various service and auxiliary equipment in underground settings.
Skills and Experience:
- A strong commitment to safety, ensuring not only personal safety but also that of colleagues.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Paste or Service Crews within the underground mining sector.
- Possession of the Ontario Hard Rock Mining Common Core certification.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems effectively.
- Capacity to respond quickly in a dynamic work environment.
- Willingness to support fellow crew members while demonstrating independence.
- Ability to thrive in a cross-cultural workplace.
