Your Role

As an Assistant Project Manager with the Furniture, Equipment Planning and Move Readiness Business Group, you'll have the opportunity to work with experienced project managers and develop your skills on a diverse range of projects. You'll support projects in various sectors, including healthcare, post-secondary, and government.

Responsibilities

  • Support project teams and provide guidance to clients on optimizing their future clinical spaces.
  • Perform schedule updates, maintain project controls, and develop progress reports.
  • Attend project meetings, capturing accurate action items and key decisions.
  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders and vendors.
  • Ensure project activities align with Colliers Project Leaders' Quality Management System and Business Unit standards.
  • Manage medical equipment lists for clients throughout the capital redevelopment process.
  • Stay up-to-date on existing and future technologies relevant to Canadian healthcare settings.

Qualifications

  • A university degree or diploma in nursing, biomedical technology, engineering, architecture, or project management (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting or previous project delivery experience is considered an asset.
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and a willingness to learn and contribute to project deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • A results-oriented approach with the ability to take action and responsibility.
  • Exceptional detail orientation, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize competing tasks.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • A proactive and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • CAPM designation, PMP, and LEED accreditation is considered an asset.
