Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Government of Northwest Territories. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of healthcare services in our region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in a hospital or medical facility setting, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and quality control checks on respiratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in respiratory care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to respiratory care.
Requirements
  • Certificate of Registry from the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists - R.R.T.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a hospital or medical facility setting.
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
