Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Buncher Operator to join our team at K&D Logging. As a key member of our logging crew, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our heavy machinery, ensuring efficient and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate heavy machinery, including bunchers and other logging equipment
  • Ensure adequate fuel levels and perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Monitor surroundings and maintain a safe working environment
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest safety training and protocols
  • Clean up landing areas at logging sites and assist other forestry workers
  • Complete daily time cards and maintain accurate records

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Buncher Operator in a high-volume environment
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's license (or provincial equivalent)
  • Ability to work in a camp environment with flexibility in shift work
  • Valid OFA Level 3 First Aid Certificate (an asset)
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to travel and work in remote locations
  • Able to work cooperatively in a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Physically fit to endure full-time fieldwork in all conditions
  • Safe work mindset and accountability
