ECE Assistant

Mossy Branches Inc. is seeking a dedicated and passionate ECE Assistant to join our team. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and care of young children in our childcare setting.
Key Responsibilities- Engage children in activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and crafts.
- Assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
- Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
- Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
- Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
- Provide physical accessibility accommodations, such as ramps and elevators.
- Provide visual accessibility accommodations, such as braille and screen readers.
- Provide auditory accessibility accommodations, such as transcription software and teletypewriters.
- Participate in government or community programs that support persons with disabilities.
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for persons with disabilities.
- Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees.
- Assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing and transportation.
- Support social and labour market integration, such as language training and skills training.
- Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
- Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment.
- Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth.
