Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Tailings Team in a Fly In, Fly Out position at FLINT Corp.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a Dozer in a tailings cell to perform groundwork within the tailings area of our mine.
  • Carry out groundwork in the tailings area of the mine, ensuring safe and efficient operation of assigned heavy equipment.
  • Understand and adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards related to heavy equipment operation and mine safety.
  • Participate in all safety and culture-strengthening programs to maintain a safe and respectful work environment.
  • Train on new equipment when requested to stay up-to-date with the latest technology and best practices.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a 3-year driver's abstract.
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or Basic Safety Orientation (BSO) certification.
  • A minimum of 2000 hours of cell/pond experience operating a D8+ Dozer.
  • Open pit mining experience is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
  • Physical capability to perform all necessary duties of the job, including heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, and twisting.
