About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Dairy Queen Duncan. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective operational procedures to ensure the smooth running of our food service establishment. This includes establishing methods to meet work schedules, requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, and supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food.

Lead and Train Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and provide guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service. This includes hiring food service staff, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, and preparing budget and cost estimates.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports to management.

Ensure Customer Satisfaction

Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and ensure that our food and service meet the highest quality standards.

Work Environment

As a Food Service Supervisor at Dairy Queen Duncan, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. You will be required to work under pressure and be physically demanding, with attention to detail and flexibility being essential.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment is required.

Language

English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
