Company Overview: Saskatchewan Blue Cross is recognized as one of Saskatchewan's Top Employers and is currently seeking a full-time permanent Quality Assurance Analyst to contribute to our IT Product Delivery Department.

Role Overview: The Quality Assurance Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of application systems. This position requires a strong focus on process management and operational execution, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality application solutions. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and a natural problem solver, working closely with the IT Product Delivery team and reporting to the Manager of IT Product Delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement test strategies and plans, develop and execute test cases for both manual and automated testing, and prepare comprehensive test reports while actively seeking opportunities for process optimization.
  • Adhere to automated testing frameworks and guidelines to enhance and maintain automated test coverage across various application product lines, including mobile and web applications.
  • Utilize test management tools to create detailed test cases and suites for all testing phases, including functional, end-to-end, regression, and release testing.
  • Engage in new initiatives and proof of concepts related to the latest tools and automation frameworks as required.
  • Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support application incident resolution.
  • Promote operational excellence by focusing on continuous improvement and documenting quality assurance processes.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to quality improvements by identifying deficiencies and recommending enhancements in tools, processes, reporting, and training.
  • Collaborate effectively with a dynamic team of specialists, including developers, subject matter experts, and business representatives.
  • Participate in user story reviews and provide accurate estimations for testing efforts.
  • Contribute to various assignments throughout all project phases, from planning to delivery.
  • Regularly review and assess project goals and accomplishments to align with personal, departmental, and organizational objectives.
  • Perform additional related projects and duties as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Completion of a Post-Secondary Diploma in Computer Science, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Equivalent combinations of training and experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience in creating and executing automated, regression, and functional testing.
  • Experience supporting large-scale projects is preferred.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in transitioning from legacy systems to modern low-code platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to comprehend business requirements and design appropriate test scenarios.
  • A willingness to work in an agile environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Demonstrated capability to meet strict deadlines under time constraints.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Katalon, Selenium, PostMan, JIRA, JMeter, and SQL is advantageous.
  • Experience in testing mobile applications and managing large data migrations is a plus.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada without restrictions.
