Job Title: General Labourer

VPS GEAR MFG. & MACHINING LTD. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Labourer to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled General Labourer to assist machine operators, assemblers, and other workers in our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various labouring and elemental activities, including cleaning machines and work areas, and assisting with tasks as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist machine operators, assemblers, and other workers in the manufacturing process
  • Perform labouring and elemental activities, including cleaning machines and work areas
  • Assist with tasks as required, such as material handling and equipment operation
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and a focus on quality
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Will train on the job
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Ability to work in a dusty, hot, noisy, and dirty environment
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses/goggles required
