We are currently seeking to expand our team by hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist .

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Quality Assurance Specialist will join our dedicated Quality Assurance team. Coulson Aircrane is recognized as a Canadian aviation Approved Maintenance Organization, aircraft operator, and manufacturer. This role involves conducting internal audits aligned with our quality management system, ensuring adherence to internal policies, customer expectations, and regulatory standards.

This is a full-time opportunity located in Port Alberni, on Vancouver Island. Candidates must possess eligibility to work in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting internal audits in compliance with the Quality Management System requirements.
  2. Maintaining and enhancing the Quality Management System.
  3. Identifying areas for improvement.
  4. Reporting audit outcomes to management.
  5. Facilitating and overseeing the execution of preventative and corrective actions.
  6. Ensuring timely completion of action items.
  7. Upholding company policies and procedures.
  8. Participating in external audits as required.
  9. Assisting in the assignment of training for personnel and contractors.
  10. Supporting the company’s Controlled Goods Program.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems.
  2. Proven experience in maintaining a Quality Management System.
  3. At least 3 years of experience in conducting internal audits.
  4. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. General knowledge of aircraft and helicopters is advantageous.
  6. Familiarity with parts manufacturing and production is beneficial.
  7. Completion of auditor training.
  8. ISO 9001/AS9100 certification is a plus.
  9. Must be eligible to work in Canada.
