We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will provide clinical and risk management services to adults under the jurisdiction of the Ontario Review Board.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement risk management plans to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
- Collaborate with the clinical team to provide rehabilitation services and support clients in achieving their treatment goals
- Liaise with inpatient units to facilitate smooth transitions and ensure continuity of care
- Participate in the development of Ontario Review Board reports and provide discipline-specific services
- Formulate treatment plans, complete standardized assessments, and provide motivational interviewing to support client engagement
- Communicate effectively with clients' social and community networks to ensure comprehensive care
- Document client information and use clinical information systems to inform care decisions
- Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing and current CPR (BCLS-HP) certification
- Preferred: Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing through the Canadian Nurses Association
- Sound knowledge and experience working in an interprofessional clinical environment, with specific experience in psychiatric and forensic risk assessment and management an asset
- Effective decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with proven organizational skills and ability to facilitate work in a collaborative environment
