Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will provide clinical and risk management services to adults under the jurisdiction of the Ontario Review Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk management plans to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to provide rehabilitation services and support clients in achieving their treatment goals
  • Liaise with inpatient units to facilitate smooth transitions and ensure continuity of care
  • Participate in the development of Ontario Review Board reports and provide discipline-specific services
  • Formulate treatment plans, complete standardized assessments, and provide motivational interviewing to support client engagement
  • Communicate effectively with clients' social and community networks to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document client information and use clinical information systems to inform care decisions
Requirements
  • Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing and current CPR (BCLS-HP) certification
  • Preferred: Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing through the Canadian Nurses Association
  • Sound knowledge and experience working in an interprofessional clinical environment, with specific experience in psychiatric and forensic risk assessment and management an asset
  • Effective decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with proven organizational skills and ability to facilitate work in a collaborative environment
