Position Summary

The Supplier Quality Specialist is essential in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain by ensuring that all products and services provided by suppliers meet our rigorous quality standards. This role is vital for enhancing customer satisfaction and upholding the company's esteemed reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and provide ongoing training and support to suppliers regarding our quality management systems and manufacturing quality concepts.
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of potential suppliers by analyzing their ability to meet quality standards, including historical performance and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to define quality criteria that suppliers must meet, including technical specifications and performance requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections at supplier facilities to ensure compliance with established quality standards, analyzing results to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with suppliers to address any non-compliance issues, facilitating corrective actions and monitoring their implementation.
  • Continuously assess supplier performance through data collection and analysis, establishing performance indicators to identify trends and potential risks.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement among suppliers by providing training and recommendations to enhance their quality performance.
  • Maintain strong, ethical relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to resolve quality issues and foster innovation.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in FMEA, root cause analysis, and recognized problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong background in electronics and quality assurance.
  • Ability to document and communicate issues effectively.
  • Experience in collaborating with diverse internal stakeholders.
  • Adaptability to changing environments and willingness to contribute to various projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, up to 50% of the time.
  • Bilingual in French and English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Training in quality management is advantageous.
  • Certification as an internal or external auditor is a plus.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is desirable.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
