Key Responsibilities

Leadership in Academic Development:
  • Guide the creation, assessment, and refinement of academic programs to uphold rigorous standards and align with institutional objectives.
  • Encourage collaboration among various programs to enrich the overall academic experience.
  • Supervise the evaluation and enhancement of curricula to ensure they meet high-quality standards and relevance.
  • Work closely with faculty to incorporate industry trends and best practices into academic offerings.
  • Engage in strategic planning and contribute to the formulation of academic policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that academic initiatives resonate with the institution's mission, vision, and strategic aims.
Support and Development for Faculty:
  • Provide guidance and resources to faculty in curriculum design and instructional innovation.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities related to teaching, assessment, and academic leadership.
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative academic culture.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Monitor developments in higher education and propose strategies to enhance academic offerings.
  • Establish and maintain connections with industry partners, accrediting organizations, and other external stakeholders.
  • Represent the institution at academic conferences, meetings, and relevant events.
  • Promote the institution's academic programs to prospective students and partners.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in an administrative leadership role within higher education.
  • PhD or equivalent terminal degree with a proven record in research or teaching at the post-secondary level.
  • Experience in program development and instructional design.
  • Exceptional writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to envision, develop, implement, and oversee curricular processes while collaboratively leading and supporting faculty.
  • Capability to engage effectively with diverse individuals, maintaining professionalism and sound judgment in challenging situations.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience with online and hybrid educational formats.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering innovation in curriculum and program development.
  • Familiarity with data-driven decision-making and educational technologies.
