Nutrition Care Coordinator

Reporting to the Director of Care, the Nutrition Care Coordinator will be responsible for the nutritional management of residents within the facility. This includes providing a quality meal service and ensuring that clinical standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement nutrition care plans for residents
  • Monitor and revise nutrition care plans as needed
  • Ensure that meals and snacks meet the requirements of Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and community services
  • Conduct nutrition and food service audits
  • Develop documentation and reporting systems
  • Participate in staff education and training
Requirements:
  • Member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Food and Nutrition and completion of an accredited internship program
  • Recent clinical experience in geriatric nutrition is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of clinical nutrition principles and geriatric population
