The position we are presenting:
We are in search of an Incident Response Team Leader to enhance our Security division, supporting our global operations.
The Incident Response Team Leader will work in unison with colleagues to establish and refine the Incident Response framework. Key responsibilities encompass detecting and addressing security incidents, adhering to established protocols for security event notifications, and engaging in security investigations.
Are you prepared to:
Oversee the Incident Response Process – Manage critical stages including detection, validation, containment, remediation, and communication for security incidents such as malware attacks, potential breaches, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) threats, etc. Lead the CSIRT – Address urgent security incidents and guide escalation teams towards effective resolution, containment, and remediation. Develop Security Operations Playbooks – Create, update, and advocate for a comprehensive set of security operation playbooks. Assist the security team in resolving computer security incidents. Serve as a subject matter expert in security incident response within the security operations unit. Analyze security alerts from various monitoring tools and platforms. Conduct triage, evaluate the extent of threats, and escalate as needed. Enhance the team's capabilities to respond to all categories of cybersecurity incidents. Manage Security Incidents: Investigate, analyze, coordinate, and report on all security events, incidents, and breaches; track incidents through analysis, diagnosis, correction, and resolution. Engage in Security Assessments: Conduct regular network security evaluations and review for signs of vulnerabilities or breaches, assisting in mitigation and remediation efforts. Research: Participate in evaluating vendors and technologies for network and desktop security to identify those that best align with organizational needs. Act as a Subject Matter Expert: Provide expert technical guidance on security issues, both proactively and reactively. Ensure data integrity and system security, safeguarding confidential information and physical assets. Collaborate with various cross-functional IT teams and non-IT business units as necessary.Our ideal candidate possesses:
A university degree, technical degree, or relevant professional experience. A minimum of 2 years in an incident response capacity. Extensive knowledge of Operating Systems, Network infrastructure, and IT Security solutions. Familiarity with incident management, case management, and investigative practices. Proven experience in supporting and leading investigations. Demonstrated ability to develop incident response documentation. Exceptional facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate and communicate effectively beyond the team. Willingness to provide coverage and support a flexible work schedule. A proactive, accountable, self-directed, humble, and solution-oriented mindset. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, etc.Position Type
