About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Supervisor to join our team at Hefty Construction Ltd. as a key member of our residential construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of construction teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Project Management
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute construction projects from start to finish, including site preparation, construction, and completion.
    • Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
    • Prepare and submit regular project reports to management, including progress updates, budget variances, and quality control issues.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field, such as construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of experience in a construction supervisory role, preferably in residential construction.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
