Job Summary

The Graduate Assistant - Leadership Research position at Toronto Metropolitan University is an exciting opportunity for a graduate student to gain hands-on experience in leadership research and organizational behaviour. As a Graduate Assistant, you will work closely with our faculty members to support research projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the university's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of research materials, including literature reviews and data collection
  • Attend lectures and seminars to stay up-to-date on the latest research and trends in leadership and organizational behaviour
  • Conduct office hours and student consultations to provide support and guidance to students
  • Mark assignments, term papers, and quizzes/tests/exams, providing thorough feedback to students
  • Confer with professors and training staff to develop research skills and knowledge

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Graduate Assistant or Teaching Assistant at the university (if applicable)
  • Enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in a relevant field
  • Strong knowledge of leadership research, principles, and organizational practices
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant for classes in leadership and organizational behaviour
  • Research experience in leadership and organizational behaviour, with a focus on leadership research
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation

  • Master's students: $47.06 per hour
  • PhD students: $50.82 per hour
