We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Killam Bottle Depot. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and general ledgers.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as maintain accurate records of employee benefits.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including trial balances, and reconcile accounts.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work accurately under pressure.
This is a permanent position with 32 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
