About the Role

The Server is a key member of our dining team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and the public. As a Server, you will be the face of our community, ensuring that every dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Service: Prepare the dining room for all services, including setting tables, stocking necessary items, and assisting with food and beverage preparation and presentation.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Carry out general cleaning duties in the dining room, including clearing and bussing tables, scraping and washing dishes, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Customer Service: Provide quality customer service to all persons served, ensuring that every resident, guest, and public visitor feels welcome and valued.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Promote and maintain positive communication and relationships among staff, residents, and the public, and work collaboratively with the team to achieve our goals.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required, including housekeeping and laundry tasks, and respond to resident and building emergencies.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education and Experience: Grade 10 or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, with 1-2 years of experience in a dining room environment an asset.
  • Certifications: Food Safe Level 1 Certificate, Serving It Right Certificate (as applicable), and WHMIS Certificate.
  • Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates collaborative and team working skills, ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently, and ability to operate related food service equipment.
  • Physical Demands: Must be in good health, physically able to operate food service equipment and tasks related to the position, and free from communicable diseases and allergies or conditions that may be aggravated by working with cleaners, detergents, and equipment.
