Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections on various hoisting devices and cranes
  • Identify equipment issues and provide cost estimates for repairs and maintenance
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on overhead electric cranes and their components
  • Document inspection findings accurately using Cert Tracker or inspection sheets for administrative processing
  • Maintain records of inventory used for billing and certification
  • Transport products to clients as needed using company vehicles
  • Contribute to the development of efficient work methods in line with company policies
  • Assist in preparing customer quotes
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts as required
  • Perform general labor and maintenance tasks
  • Adhere to company quality and safety protocols
  • Follow customer safety and quality guidelines while on-site
  • Maintain company equipment regularly
  • Willingness to travel and work evenings or weekends as necessary

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Millwright or Electrical apprenticeship
  • Trade qualification as a journeyman Millwright or Electrician is an asset
  • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting overhead electric cranes is preferred
  • Familiarity with working at heights, lifting gear inspection, and rigging fundamentals is beneficial
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and hydraulics, with the ability to troubleshoot general maintenance issues
  • Valid driver's license and insurability are required
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist level
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Professional communication skills with customers
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
