The Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Maintenance (AME - M) is a key member of our team at Avmax Careers - Canada. This role reports directly to the Director of Maintenance and is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct inspections on aircraft to ensure airworthiness and identify any defects or issues.
- Report unserviceable maintenance equipment to the assigned Crew Chief and ensure that all reportable service difficulties and maintenance irregularities are completed and forwarded to Quality Assurance and SMS in a timely manner.
- Attend training courses as directed by company management to stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards and procedures.
- Provide technical assistance or guidance to the crew and communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow.
- Troubleshoot aircraft mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems to identify failures or potential failures and adjust or repair affected systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manual, and established procedures.
- Maintain and repair airframe, engine, and propeller systems, and perform and document routine and heavy maintenance.
- Ensure the work environment is safe and clean, and promote company values, vision, and mission.
- Certify aircraft for return to service.
- Transport Canada Certified AME - M License required.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
- Shows integrity, ingenuity, and assertiveness in the performance of tasks.
- Must have strong trouble-shooting skills with good quality workmanship.
- Employee is expected to work towards obtaining an ACA.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the field, with Dash-8 and CRJ experience considered an asset.
