Role Overview:
In your capacity as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), you will deliver a broad spectrum of nursing services to individuals, families, communities, and populations, while ensuring their safety and well-being. Your responsibilities will include employing nursing methodologies, utilizing critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, alongside educating, advising, and advocating for patients and their families. You will assume a pivotal role in fostering an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance.
You will ensure the provision of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while embodying the shared vision and values of Alberta Health Services.
Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
- If you have not practiced as a Clinical Nurse Specialist within the last five (5) years, completion of the required courses is necessary.
