Direct Care Worker Opportunity

Superior Greenstone Association for Community Living (SGACL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing residential and community supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Direct Care Worker to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Assist with daily living skills, such as shopping, banking, and housekeeping, while fostering a sense of autonomy.
  • Administer medications and ensure the health and safety of individuals at all times.
  • Support individuals in attending activities and events of their choice, promoting socialization and community integration.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, families, and community partners.
Requirements:
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overnights and weekend shifts
  • Ability to lift and transfer individuals, as required
  • A clean criminal background check and vulnerable sector check
