Position Overview
This role involves acting as a site representative with a focus on ensuring the efficient delivery of materials and equipment essential for project success.

  • Engage in expediting activities aligned with project procurement and operational procedures, guaranteeing timely material delivery.
  • Collaborate with project management, procurement, engineering, and construction teams to streamline expediting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the expediting function in project meetings, generating comprehensive reports for review.
  • Evaluate expediting assignments for accuracy and completeness, ensuring alignment with project needs.
  • Communicate with suppliers to secure timely engineering data and track material progress.
  • Compile critical data for reporting purposes, coordinating with project expediters to maintain updated records.
  • Work closely with planning and scheduling teams to establish priorities and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain organized records of expediting documents and communications to support follow-up actions.
  • Monitor expediting assignments and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  • Facilitate supplier orders and collaborate with quality representatives to ensure material standards are met.
  • Coordinate logistics for shipping and track material deliveries to the job site.
  • Assist in resolving issues related to missing materials.

Essential Qualifications

  • A relevant Bachelor's degree or diploma with 8-10 years of experience in procurement for major equipment and bulk materials.
  • Ability to interpret schedules effectively to establish realistic milestones and maintain project timelines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, particularly in technical and production contexts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in refinery operations is advantageous.
  • Certifications such as CPSM, CPPM, or CPP are considered beneficial.
