In the role of Maintenance Planning & Scheduling General Supervisor, you will report directly to the Superintendent of Planning & Scheduling. Your primary responsibility will be to work collaboratively with Mine Maintenance Execution, Reliability Engineering, and Mine Operations teams to optimize the utilization of maintenance resources while minimizing disruptions to operational flow and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit strong leadership in safety, adhering to and promoting safety and environmental regulations.
  • Evaluate and oversee the performance of team members, fostering motivation and professional growth through regular feedback and performance assessments.
  • Engage in interdepartmental collaboration, aiming to eliminate barriers and devise solutions to challenges while celebrating achievements.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the Worksafe BC & BC Mines Act & Code.
  • Leverage knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other software to enhance Work Control Processes, including Planning, Scheduling, and Reporting.
  • Develop and sustain both short-term and long-term maintenance strategies.
  • Contribute to the annual maintenance budget formulation and variance analysis.
  • Ensure that long-term plans and schedules are prepared, reviewed, and communicated effectively.
  • Participate in planning and scheduling meetings to keep Work Control processes aligned.
  • Assist in the monitoring, tracking, and achievement of planning & scheduling Key Performance Indicators.
  • Engage in post-Preventative Maintenance and completed Work Order quality assessments to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Inspire and lead team members through innovation and effective leadership.
  • Provide constructive feedback to planners and schedulers regarding plan effectiveness and suggest enhancements.
  • Manage and approve various leave requests as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Possession of a Journeyperson's ticket, relevant technical diploma, or engineering degree, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in materials acquisition, planning, or scheduling within a maintenance context is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with maintenance processes and relevant software systems is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated skills in organization, planning, and employee relations.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred, along with a background in materials acquisition, planning, and scheduling.
  • Strong change management capabilities, with a track record of facilitating behavioral change.
  • Self-driven and committed to achieving results while pursuing continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, interpersonal, and follow-up skills.
  • A proven team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
