Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Supervisor to join our team at Teck Resources Limited. As a key member of our Mine Maintenance Operations team, you will be responsible for collaborating with various departments to ensure maximum use of maintenance execution resources and minimizing interruption to operations and production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of maintenance professionals to ensure effective planning and scheduling of maintenance activities.
  • Develop and maintain short-term and long-term maintenance plans to ensure optimal use of resources.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent, Planning & Scheduling, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor and assess work performance of direct reports, providing coaching and development opportunities as needed.
  • Provide guidance on the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other computer applications to support effective work control processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in planning and scheduling meetings to ensure work control is kept on track.
  • Assist in the collection, tracking, and achievement of planning and scheduling Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide feedback to planners and schedulers on the effectiveness of plans and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Journeyperson's ticket, related technical diploma, or engineering degree, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience with materials acquisition, planning, or scheduling in a maintenance environment is an asset.
  • Familiarity with maintenance processes and other system software is an asset.
  • Demonstrated organizational, planning, and employee relations skills.
  • Supervisory experience is considered an asset, along with experience in materials acquisition, planning, and scheduling.
  • Strong change management skills, with proven experience driving behavior change.
  • Self-motivated and driven to produce results and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, human relation, and follow-up skills.
  • Must be a proven team player and work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
