Electrical Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team at Kruger Inc. As an Electrical Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation of our electrical equipment and ensuring the safety of our employees and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Observe equipment operation and identify electrical faults in consultation with the operator or foreman.
  • Install, repair, or replace defective parts using appropriate tools, manufacturer's manuals, and drawings.
  • Analyze electrical problems, diagnose causes, and recommend effective corrective methods to prevent recurrence.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical installations and process control equipment.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production team members to resolve equipment efficiency and improvement issues.
  • Complete reports following completion of work.
Requirements:
  • DEC in instrumentation and control or industrial electronics technology.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an industrial environment.
  • Licence C electrician's card or in the process of obtaining one.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, sketches, logic, and control diagrams.
  • Good knowledge of programmable logic controllers.
  • Excellent understanding of lockout rules.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite an asset.
