We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Legal Account Manager to join our team at goeasy Ltd. As a key member of our National Contact Center, you will play a critical role in helping our customers achieve their personal and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities- Manage assigned regional inventory (active and written off) through facilitation of collection tools and legal action.
- Facilitate education and training for all branches in assigned region on recovery techniques, legal process, and procedures.
- Manage deadlines and stay organized with all required legal and administrative duties.
- Manage recovery portfolio of written off loans through action and activity, including phone calls, text messages, emails, and required legal action.
- Proceed with legal action on delinquent accounts through the Small Claims Court process.
- Keep up to date with the Small Claims Court rules and procedures, and the various requirements on court filings and proceedings.
- Actively manage recoveries inventory, establish payment arrangements, settlements, garnishments, etc.
- Apply compliance, regulatory standards, and best practice on collections.
- Pull and analyze credit reports to review new and existing files and determine next steps.
- Document all communications and legal activity, and upload all required documents onto internal systems (Salesforce).
- Utilize skip trace (internal/external) as required to obtain employment/address confirmation, and any other required details.
- Consistently hit or exceed monthly targets.
- Collect and process payments made by customers utilizing acceptable payment methods.
- 1-2 years of related experience in a similar role.
- 1-2 years Collections experience (Asset).
- Paralegal designation or legal background (Asset).
- Post-Secondary Education preferred (College or University).
- Full Driver's License with access to vehicle.
- Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organization and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task, self-motivate, and work independently.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office/SharePoint (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work with people at various levels across the organization.
- Detail-oriented and demonstrated ability for accuracy.
