Database Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Systems Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our critical database systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through the implementation of best practices and industry standards.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive backup and disaster recovery plans to protect our valuable data assets.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal system efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate databases into applications and support ongoing software development efforts.
  • Stay abreast of emerging database technologies and trends to continuously improve our infrastructure.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive expertise in database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
  • Strong understanding of database security principles, backup procedures, and recovery strategies.
  • Proven ability to optimize database performance and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
