Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Director to oversee our client's construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Lead a team of project managers to deliver construction services for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and core values.
- Resource Allocation: Identify and allocate necessary resources to complete projects in line with commitments, ensuring effective project execution.
- Client Relationships: Foster strong relationships with clients to ensure positive experiences and ongoing partnerships once projects are awarded.
- Preconstruction Services: Provide guidance on bids, budgeting, and pre-construction services to ensure cost-effective designs and project delivery.
- Project Execution: Oversee project execution plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives, risks, budgets, staffing, timelines, and deliverables.
- Safety Culture: Promote a strong safety culture in line with company strategies and values, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Education: Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent experience in construction.
- Certifications: Gold Seal Certification (GSC) is an asset.
- Experience: 15 or more years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in construction project management.
- Skills: Proven success with multiple project delivery methods, strong negotiation, diplomacy, and conflict resolution skills.
