About the Role

The Senior Manager, Global Operations PMO is a key position within Scotiabank, responsible for leading the financial planning and governance of the Global Operations' strategic investment spend.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Governance: Lead the development and approval of business cases, as well as post-implementation reviews, in collaboration with Global Operations stakeholders.
  • Business Case Review and Challenge: Work closely with EBI Finance, Governance Stakeholders & GO Finance to ensure project cost and benefits are accurately represented and align with Global Operations' strategic objectives.
  • Project Forecast Accuracy: Focus on improving project forecast accuracy to optimize SIP envelope utilization, working with partners such as EPMO, Productivity, and Finance on monthly reporting.
  • Project Governance: Maintain processes to meet/exceed all project governance standards as developed by the Divisional and Executive Project Management Offices and audit.
  • Enterprise Standard Tools: Monitor Global Operations initiatives and ensure the effective use of enterprise standard tools and adherence to EPMO project standards by all GO project functions.
  • Portfolio Reporting: Provide monthly data-driven portfolio reporting & dashboards, including project health, status, risks, issues, benefits, etc., to provide transparency around project execution and support decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously challenge existing processes and standards within and outside the team.
  • Ad-Hoc Requests: Respond to ad-hoc requests as required.
