About the Role

At Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services - CFMWS, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Skating Instructor Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Personnel Support Programs, you will play a vital role in delivering fitness, sports, recreation, and health promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and delivering skating classes under the supervision of the Community Aquatics and Recreation Coordinator.
  • Demonstrate and assist with instructing skating activities and techniques.
  • Assemble supplies and equipment as required.
  • Attend to clients with special needs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and some years of experience conducting skating classes or Skating Teachers Certificate.
  • Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and delivering skating classes.
  • Experience in monitoring and controlling large groups of participants.
  • Experience in ensuring safety protocols and procedures.
  • Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork, and leadership (our shared competencies).
Language Requirements

English is the primary language of communication in this role.
