Position Overview

We are seeking a Subrogation Claims Adjuster to enhance our dynamic team.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in the examination, negotiation, and resolution of auto and basic property subrogation claims. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional service while ensuring timely and fair recovery of claims in accordance with our corporate guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct investigations on claims of moderate complexity, ensuring timely and fair recoveries in alignment with corporate standards.
  • Formulate action plans for investigations by identifying necessary contacts, assessing collection feasibility, and determining potential legal actions.
  • Gather and document claim information by obtaining relevant reports and statements from customers, witnesses, and other involved parties to assess damage, liability, and recovery opportunities.
  • Engage in negotiations with third parties, legal representatives, and insurers to resolve claims.
  • Attend court proceedings or hearings as needed to provide insights regarding claims.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to both external and internal clients.
  • Address inquiries related to investigations and the claims process.
  • Maintain effective communication with claims departments and collaborate with adjusters, experts, management, and other claims representatives on technical and administrative matters.
  • Foster productive relationships with service providers and monitor their performance to ensure adherence to professional and corporate standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend modifications to policies or procedures to uphold quality service and competitiveness.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree or college diploma, or an equivalent combination of business experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in handling property, casualty, auto, and/or subrogation claims.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Familiarity with litigation processes is considered an asset.
  • Completion or progress towards a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is advantageous.

Compensation:

The salary for the successful candidate will typically fall within the range of $51,000 to $77,400, taking into account various factors such as prior experience, qualifications, expected contributions to the role, and internal equity.
