Sales Manager Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to lead our inside sales team and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software sales, preferably in the hydrogeological or geological industries.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets
* Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities, new markets, and competitive landscape
* Lead and manage a team of inside sales representatives, setting performance goals, providing guidance, and conducting regular performance evaluations
* Identify new business opportunities and drive growth in existing accounts
* Collaborate with marketing and product management teams to drive product awareness and adoption
* Monitor sales metrics and performance to track progress towards goals
* Conduct regular sales meetings and provide feedback and support to the sales team
* Ensure the CRM is used by all salespeople to monitor progress of sales opportunities and ongoing projects
* Assist distributors and agents in building the company's market share
* Control expenses pursuant to budget guidelines developed by the company
* Generate sales reports and forecasts as directed by the company
* Respond promptly to customer inquiries and complaints
* Attend technical and sales training courses and industry tradeshows
* Provide market feedback to the marketing department

**Requirements**

* 5-10 years of experience in software sales, preferably in the hydrogeological or geological industries
* Ability to develop and implement sales strategies
* Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools
* Base salary depending on candidate experience, plus performance-based bonus plan up to 15% of base salary
