- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and organized.
- Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Record Keeping: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
- Cleaning and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas.
- Event Planning: Organize buffets and banquets.
- Operational Management: Manage kitchen operations.
- Accessibility: Provides physical accessibility accommodations (for example: ramps, elevators, etc.).
- Mentorship: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
- Youth Support: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Veteran Support: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
- Indigenous Support: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Mature Worker Support: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for mature workers.
