The Team:

The Business Strategy team at Jobber serves as a catalyst for strategic planning and execution, collaborating closely with the Senior Leadership team on critical initiatives and high-impact opportunities. This is a unique chance to join a dynamic group that operates at the intersection of various functions.

The Role:

As an integral member of this team, the Business Strategy and Operations Analyst will be instrumental in translating overarching strategies into actionable plans, identifying key opportunities and challenges, and facilitating the development of essential projects across different teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in crafting the strategic framework for the organization (3-5 year outlook)
  • Develop compelling and targeted communications regarding the strategy for diverse stakeholders (Board, leadership team, entire organization)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate key projects, business cases, project plans, and success metrics to fulfill strategic objectives
  • Coordinate regular reporting, monitoring, and evaluation of projects to establish an effective operational rhythm
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to uncover new insights and opportunities, presenting well-informed recommendations to stakeholders. Examples include:
  • Competitive and industry benchmarking
  • Monitoring external environmental signals
  • Proposing new product or feature concepts
  • Evaluating build/buy/partner decisions
  • Assessing current priorities and suggesting adjustments

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, internal strategy, or strategic finance/analytics
  • Strong understanding of business and financial principles
  • Exceptional communication abilities - creating impactful, visual, and concise presentations and documents, with the capacity to simplify complex concepts for varied audiences and foster engagement
  • Strong analytical skills - transforming data into insights and strategic recommendations
  • Excellent organizational and project management capabilities, adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Quick learner; eager to engage and contribute
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive in identifying opportunities and solutions
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with SQL/data analysis and vertical software as a service.
