Funding Operations Specialist

About the Role
This position is responsible for managing the funding of assigned deals with single loan advances and processing progress construction advances in accordance with company policies and procedures at MCAP. Key responsibilities include Loan Payment Processing, Cash Management, Letters of Credit administration, and routine administrative tasks. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in their interactions with clients, third-party professionals, and internal staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up new construction loans on the loan management system, shared drives, and investor portal.
- Collaborate with external consultants, including lawyers, insurance consultants, and cost consultants.
- Collect, review, and verify loan documentation and funding information from stakeholders and third parties.
- Review and process progress advances based on cost consultant reports.
- Ensure all Investor approvals are in place for each advance and maintain mortgage security.
- Post financial transactions onto the loan management system.
- Liaise with Investors and arrange internal signoffs.
- Maintain follow-up event items on the loan management system.
Requirements:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Comprehensive MS Office experience.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build relationships and provide strong customer support.
- Self-driven, motivated, and able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Post-Secondary Education (Diploma or Degree).
