We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at MacLeod House Baddeck. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Responsibilities:- Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring
- Support residents with mobility issues, including walking, standing, and transferring
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, including their living spaces and common areas
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
- Completion of a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) program or equivalent
- Valid certification in CPR and First Aid
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
