Job Title: Planning Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Planning Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our bakery's production schedule, ensuring a smooth workflow between departments, and maintaining a customer fill rate of 99.8% or better.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the daily and weekly production plan for the bakery
  • Create and update the production schedule in the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Logistics to address scheduling issues and minimize product changeovers
  • Provide weekly schedules for all departments
  • Review previous day's production and implement changes to the schedule as required
  • Minimize product changeover by effective planning
  • Participate in daily production meetings
  • Responsible for any short explanation is required daily
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Production, and Logistics to facilitate any emergency requests
  • Maintain customer fill rate of 99.8% or better
Requirements:
  • College diploma preferred or equivalent experience
  • Computer literate and proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
