Telecommunications Line Technician

eTor Networks is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Line Installer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, testing equipment to locate transmission faults, and completing and maintaining test and service reports.
Key Responsibilities- Install and Maintain Equipment: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including cable modems and software to enable Internet access.
- Test and Troubleshoot: Test equipment to locate transmission faults and determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble.
- Complete Reports: Complete and maintain test and service reports, including work assignments and equipment maintenance records.
- Repair and Replace: Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers, as well as splice, join, and connect wires.
- Equipment and Machinery Experience: Work with coaxial lines, fibre optics, single lines, and copper, and have experience with various types of equipment and machinery.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, bending, crouching, and kneeling, and have the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
