We are seeking an experienced procurement leader to join our team at ICBC. As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing complex sourcing strategies, leading and guiding teams on procurement projects, and implementing contract management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute complex sourcing strategies to ensure best value acquisitions for ICBC.
  • Lead and guide teams on procurement projects, providing consulting and guidance at all levels and across business divisions.
  • Implement contract management, including contract negotiation and administration.
  • Provide contract and supplier management, ensuring compliance with ICBC's procurement policies and procedures.
  • Make a positive contribution to a leadership team navigating procurement teams through significant divisional and organizational transformation.
Requirements
  • Superior communication skills to obtain buy-in and support for procurement strategies from internal customers and senior management.
  • Highly effective negotiation skills to obtain best value pricing, terms, and conditions for acquisitions.
  • Contract management of critical contracts for business areas whose subjects include professional services, information technology, insurance claims suppliers.
  • Previous leadership experience working with direct reports and others.
  • Experience working in the public sector (Federal, Provincial or Municipal).
  • Post-secondary qualification, current knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management, including requirements for government procurement.
