Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop Financial Tools and Processes:
    • Analyze and resolve intricate business challenges through analytics, utilizing industry expertise and internal data methodologies.
    • Engage with various business units and IT teams to merge business requirements with system knowledge, generating innovative solutions.
  2. Promote a Data-Driven Culture:
    • Champion data quality and uniformity, collaborating with business and IT teams to standardize data practices and cultivate a data-centric culture within Finance.
    • Identify discrepancies and gaps in data, working alongside partners to ensure scalable and comprehensive solutions for informed decision-making.
  3. Drive Innovation and Enhancements:
    • Participate in the design, development, and testing of planning systems, shaping the future of EA's Connected Planning.
    • Collaborate on Proof of Concept initiatives to create future tools for Finance teams.
  4. Support User Community Development:
    • Produce process documentation and training resources to align workflows and advocate best practices.
    • Oversee support channels for daily inquiries within EA's Connected Planning Center of Excellence.
  5. Ensure System Stewardship and Governance:
    • Lead the resolution of issues and oversee major project deliverables from conception to execution.
    • Facilitate processes for EA's quarterly financial forecasts, ensuring adherence to policies and controls.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or Accounting is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or business analytics.
  • Proficiency in Business Intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, along with SQL.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, capable of executing complex functions.
  • Experience with Oracle and Anaplan systems.
  • Expertise in data modeling and analytics.
  • Familiarity with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Python, or R.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
