Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at National Crane Inc. as a Heavy Haul Specialist. This is a permanent position that requires a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Drive lighter, special purpose trucks and oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Transport Goods: Transport and handle dangerous goods, ensuring safety and security of cargo.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, and provide professional service to clients.
  • Logistics and Planning: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations as needed.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform brake adjustments, pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
  • Documentation: Complete accident or incident reports, dangerous goods occurrence reports, inspection reports, and trip reports as required.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Hold a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles).
  • Experience: Have at least 2 years of experience in heavy haul trucking, with a strong focus on safety and customer service.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to handle heavy loads, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet the physical demands of the job.
  • Personal Qualities: Possess a strong work ethic, be organized, reliable, and a team player.
Working Conditions

The work site environment is dusty, and the work setting requires relocation costs not covered by the employer. The job involves repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
