POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Food and Beverage Manager, this position is essential in delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences to all Aquarium visitors and internal stakeholders. In a dynamic, high-volume quick-service restaurant setting, the Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for managing daily operations across all Food and Beverage venues. This role includes providing ongoing coaching and training to the team, fostering a collaborative work environment, and ensuring that the team has the necessary resources for operational success. The Supervisor will promptly address visitor and guest feedback and concerns, assign tasks, and follow up with the team as needed. Collaboration with our culinary team and other departments is crucial to guarantee a positive and memorable experience for all guests.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver outstanding visitor and guest experiences:

  • Cultivate a positive, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere for every visitor, guest, and team member.
  • Ensure all team members are equipped with the necessary resources for operational success.
  • Communicate updates or changes regarding menus, policies, and Aquarium news to the team.
  • Uphold and champion all standards established by the Aquarium.
  • Assist with general visitor inquiries related to programs, events, and other Aquarium-related information.
  • Confidently discuss food and beverage offerings and accommodate dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain a consistently positive demeanor in all situations.
  • Address and resolve all visitor and guest feedback promptly.
  • Embrace the philosophy: "if it is not right, we will make it right."
  • Anticipate the needs of visitors and guests.

Support daily operations of various food outlets:

  • Oversee daily operations within the Food and Beverage venues.
  • Ensure all products served to visitors and guests meet exceptional quality standards.
  • Assist in staff training and development initiatives.
  • Provide continuous feedback and coaching to the team.
  • Delegate and assign tasks as necessary.
  • Assist in daily financial reporting and communication.
  • Review daily schedules and role assignments, adjusting as needed.
  • Ensure all outlets have the required resources for operational success.
  • Champion all health and safety protocols.

Guarantee high-quality product experiences for all visitors:

  • Ensure all visitor and guest requests are fulfilled accurately prior to delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness and full stock of all satellite stations.
  • Ensure cafes and surrounding areas are clean and organized.
  • Implement proper rotation of all food and beverage items.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Serving It Right certification is required.
  • Food Safe certification is preferred.
  • Clear background check is mandatory.
  • Experience in food services within a high-volume, fast-paced environment is an asset.
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills are essential.
  • Must be a motivated self-starter.
  • Ability to take initiative and complete tasks effectively.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.
  • Must be an organized leader who leads by example.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to safely lift, move, and carry objects up to 30 lbs.
  • Availability during weekdays, including weekends and holidays, is required.

COMPENSATION: $20 per hour
