About GFL Environmental

GFL Environmental is a leading waste management company seeking newly licensed AZ Line Haul Drivers to participate in our Driver Development Training Program and support our solid waste line of business.

Driver Development Training Program

We offer a comprehensive training program that includes:

  • One-on-one training with a skilled driver coach
  • Nine weeks of paid, industry-specific training
  • Training focuses on backing skills, local/city/highway driving, safe loading and delivering techniques
  • Company driver position following successful completion of training

Key Responsibilities

As a newly licensed AZ Line Haul Driver, you will be responsible for:

  • Daily runs to various locations
  • Transporting solid waste from transfer stations to landfills
  • Inspecting vehicles daily for mechanical issues and safety concerns
  • Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, and other incidents
  • Documenting driving and break periods in accordance with regulations
  • Retaining copies of fuel receipts and other documentation
  • Complying with applicable legislation and regulations
  • Driving approximately 600-1100 km per day, with 10-14 hour runs
  • Returning home nightly
