POSITION: Registered Nurse
PRIMARY SITE: Integrated Stroke Unit/Telemetry
REPORTS TO: Manager, Critical Care, Telemetry/ISU and Cardiorespiratory
DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible
SALARY: Competitive hourly rate
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a current registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred: Recent clinical experience (minimum two years) in Stroke Care/Rehabilitation.
- Related courses or in-services in Stroke Care/Rehabilitation nursing are an asset.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient physical assessment skills.
- Ability to interpret telemetry and cardiac monitoring is preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS (to be completed within 3 months of hire):
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Recent Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course or equivalent experience.
- Recent 12 lead ECG interpretation course or equivalent experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Applicants may qualify for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness and Tuition Support Program for Nurses.
- Successful candidates who have not previously worked as a nurse in Ontario may be eligible for a commitment bonus in exchange for a two-year service commitment.
