Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Procurement/Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing, building, and managing new supply chain and production operational practices. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, supply chain management, and logistics, and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Supply Chain Management: Develop and implement supply chain operational practices for manufacturing procurement, including locating key suppliers, negotiating purchasing agreements, and ensuring incoming materials meet specifications.
- Purchasing: Purchase goods and services to support the production of Smart Imaging Systems, working closely with the Engineering team to develop, update, and maintain the accuracy of Bills of Material.
- Inventory Management: Manage the shipping and receiving processes, track inventory, and re-stock materials when needed.
- Vendor Management: Manage vendors and suppliers to ensure delivery dates and quality standards are met.
- Reporting and Analysis: Track, analyze, and report on materials costs.
- Supporting Installation and Commissioning: Support on-site installation and commissioning of new systems at customer facilities.
- Customer Support: Support our customer service team to help resolve issues with in-field systems.
- Production Support: Support production with the assembly and testing of systems.
- Supplier Management: Work with external suppliers and fabrication shops to ensure our design and quality standards are met.
- Education: Diploma or degree in a field related to purchasing and supply chain management.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, and logistics.
- Skills: Excellent computer skills, solid experience using ERP software, and strong negotiation skills.
- Additional Skills: Knowledge of logistics, exporting, and cross-border processes and tariff codes is an asset.
