Metallurgist - Full-Time Fly-In/Fly-Out - Gahcho Kue Mine, Northwest Territories

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgist to join our team at the Gahcho Kué Mine in the Northwest Territories. As a Metallurgist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and optimum performance of our ore processing department.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement metallurgical processes to optimize plant performance and product quality.
- Collaborate with the geology and mining engineering departments to ensure accurate and reliable data.
- Analyze and report laboratory results to inform process improvements.
- Provide guidance and support to laboratory technicians and de-falsifiers to develop their skills.
- Develop and maintain laboratory procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Audit processes to prevent product loss and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide coverage to the sort house and laboratory operations as needed.
- Work closely with the Plant Operations and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure optimal process performance.
- Assist the Ore Processing Manager and Process Plant Superintendents with budget preparations, production planning, and maintenance activities.
- Degree in extractive metallurgy, mineral processing, or chemical engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in a mineral processing plant, preferably diamonds.
- Currently possessing, or able to possess, a Professional Engineering (P. Eng.) designation.
- Experience with development and maintenance of plant simulations (i.e. Simio).
- Experience with physical separation theory as it relates to the diamond recovery process.
- Excellent proficiency in data analysis, database queries, various statistical modeling, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
