We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Baker to join our team at True Grain Cowichan. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for leading the production of high-quality baked goods, managing inventory, and supervising staff.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and cakes according to recipes and customer orders
- Manage inventory and supplies, including ordering and requisitioning materials and equipment
- Train and supervise staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
- Ensure that products meet established quality standards
- Develop and implement production schedules and plans
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- 3+ years of experience in a bakery or related field
- Proven track record of producing high-quality baked goods
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
